Occupy Tucson

About 1,000 demonstrators participated in Occupy Tucson at Military Plaza in Armory Park, Tucson, Arizona, USA. The Occupy Tucson organizers created the movement in solidarity with the Occupy Wall Street movement in New York and the Occupy Together movement across the USA. A counter protestor (brown shirt), who declined to be identified, shouts, "Stop protesting and get a fuckin job." ..The leaders of this movement are the everyday people participating in a movement with many de-centralized goals, with an over-arching theme of protesting government corruption from corporate money and national income disparity. We use a tool called the "General Assembly" to facilitate open, participatory and horizontal organizing between members of the public. We welcome people from all colors, genders and beliefs to participate in our movement. ..
